Memli Krasniqi, head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) parliamentary group, presented six points which the party considers should be incorporated to the text of the resolution on dialogue with Serbia. Item number one proposes Kosovo Assembly gives support to the continuation of dialogue for normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia as the best way to achieve a legally binding agreement that would result in mutual recognition and Kosovo’s membership in the UN and other international organisations. Second point proposes Assembly of Kosovo getting involved in reaching internal political consensus through the Joint Platform on Dialogue that would contain Kosovo’s positions. Next, Assembly of Kosovo would set up a committee made of heads of parliamentary groups to monitor the dialogue process and this mechanism would be chaired by a representative of an opposition party. Item number four suggests the delegation appointed by the government of Kosovo regularly report to the Assembly’s committee on monitoring the dialogue. Item five would emphasise that Assembly of Kosovo has central and decisive role in the dialogue with Serbia while the last item proposed by the PDK would reaffirm that the Constitution of Kosovo, its sovereignty and territorial integrity are inviolable and that only the Assembly of Kosovo has authority to decide these matters.
