Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) said in a statement to the media that the party leader, Isa Mustafa, received a letter from the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, thanking him for his letter in which he presented views on the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. Merkel in her letter said it was important for Kosovo to continue dialogue with Serbia for normalisation of relations under the European Union facilitation. “Like you, I am following the debate on border changes with great concern,” Merkel is reported to have said. Merkel also said she was aware of the importance of visa liberalisation for the people of Kosovo and noted that consultations of EU member states are ongoing.
