In an interview with Croatian paper Vecernji List, Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli said the new Kosovo army is expected to have 5,000 active troops and 3,000 reserve. He said Kosovo will have its army despite Belgrade protesting the move. “We will do this together with international community and we are in continuous contact with the US as well as our partners from NATO,” Veseli said. He said Belgrade’s pressure on members of the Serb community not to join the Kosovo army are not “inhumane” and “unjust.”
