An arts exhibition titled ‘Colors of our Souls’ was opened in Pristina yesterday as part of a UN Women project aimed at raising awareness for survivors of sexual violence during conflict in Kosovo by reflecting on the challenges they have faced over the years. UN Resident Coordinator, Ulrika Richardson, said the exhibition has many colours which in reality give hope for survivors of sexual violence in conflict whose voice is still unheard. “There are many survivors that have spoken out but many of them are still afraid and ashamed to speak in public,” Richardson said. The exhibition’s works of art are unsigned and a product of women survivors of sexual violence.
