United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres warned that despite of peace in Kosovo over the last three months, several incidents which were results of intercommunity tensions were recorded, Serbian public broadcaster RTS reports.

SG Guterres also welcomed the readiness of Belgrade and Pristina to normalize relations through dialogue. He also noted that during the last three months 53 persons returned to Kosovo, 29 of them are Serbs.

“The security situation in Kosovo during the period under review remained calm, although intercommunity tensions were manifested in a number of incidents,” SG Guterres noted in his report, that would be discussed at the Security Council on November 14.

The Kosovo report returned to the agenda of UN after 6-month break, result of USA, Britain and France objection to discuss about it, every third month, as was the practice over the last 19 years. The last session of the Security Council on Kosovo took place on May 18, when 6 members of SC advocated to change the format of sessions dedicated to Kosovo, something that was fiercely objected by Russia, China and Serbia, RTS reminded.
