Vetevendosje Movement held a press conference where the leader of this political party, Albin Kurti requested from political parties in Kosovo to reach a consensus on drafting a list which requests recognition by Serbia as well as finding the missing persons.

Kurti said the first step of preparing for discussions with Serbia is compilation of a report with the approval of all political parties in Kosovo.

“We cannot agree with Serbia if we do not agree with each other about this report,” he said.

He further expressed optimism saying that political parties can build a parliamentary and governmental consensus about requests towards Serbia.

Kurti criticized President Hashim Thaci’s idea for exchange of territories with Serbia and added that Serbia has managed to clash political parties in Kosovo. “It is a pity that Serbia has entered between us and divided us,” he said.

According to Kurti, Kosovo does not yet possess a clear document on demands towards Serbia. According to him, Kosovo should compile a list which would request from Serbia recognition of the independence of Kosovo, revealing the fate of the missing persons, apology for the crimes committed in Kosovo as well as respect of the rights of the Albanian community in Presevo Valley. He further added that Kosovo is not a serious state if it does not request Serbia’s debt for the crimes committed in Kosovo during the war.

“Different states have not forgiven war debt to Germany. We are not serious if we do not request ours,” Kurti said adding that war damages to Kosovo exceed two billion Euros.
