The Pristina-based Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) has called for peaceful protests following recent severe power cuts all over Kosovo. “Peaceful protests are allowed in democracy to raise the awareness of the public, parliamentary committees and the government to be more efficient in protecting consumers’ rights against the arbitrary approach, irresponsibility and arrogance of KEDS and ZRRE which have turned into a nightmare for the people,” the CDHRF said in a statement.
