The Pristina-based Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) issued a press release today claiming that EU High Representative Federica Mogherini is trying to bring down Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj through President Hashim Thaci. “Federica Mogherini, by asking President Thaci to revoke the 100-percent tax on Serbian goods, is interfering flagrantly in Kosovo’s interior affairs. By using Thaci, she is trying to bring down Prime Minister Haradinaj, whereby in addition to the 100-percent tax, she would also eliminate a determined opponent to the border correction idea and in doing so she would make it easy for President Thaci. The President of Kosovo did not set the 100-percent tax on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and he has no competency to revoke the tax,” the press release notes.
