European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn is expected to visit Pristina on Monday and meet President Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli, and representatives of opposition parties. Hahn’s visit comes in response to the Kosovo Government’s decision to impose a 100 percent import tax on Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. “He will reaffirm the EU’s position in calling for the decision to be retracted and will underline the need to focus on improvement of good neighbourly relations and regional cooperation,” the EU said in a written reply to Zeri.
