Russian Ambassador in Serbia Alexander Chepurin termed Pristina’s taxes on goods from central Serbia as “a farce” while their consequences might be numerous, Tanjug news agency reported.

According to Ambassador Chepurin such decisions of Pristina are result of nervousness and stalemate, since an increased number of countries are revoking recognitions of Kosovo.

“There are 11 countries now that have revoked recognition of Kosovo. This is a tendency that started to walk on Pristina’s nerves,” Ambassador Chepurin noted.

They expected to join Interpol, but faced a debacle there, and this is where the nervousness of Pristina comes from, Chepurin added.

He also commented on, as he said, weird practice of Pristina that can be noticed lately and it is about “hallway diplomacy,” noting that Prisitna is not the first one doing so, since dozen of other unrecognized territories attempted “to chase people in the hallways, but later dropped such practice after realizing it is neither dignified nor normal.”

Ambassador Chepurin said the main negotiator in resolving the Kosovo issue is neither EU nor Russia, but Serbia beyond any doubt, since without Serbia there is no resolution of this issue. He underlined Russia would continue supporting Serbia and that Russian stance on Kosovo remains unchanged.
