Kosovo authorities have refuted statements from the Serbian civil aviation claiming that Pristina International Airport is closed to civilian traffic. Yesterday, Serbian civil aviation sent an e-mail to an air company planning to fly to Pristina saying the traffic license cannot be granted as Pristina airport is only open to military, official, or humanitarian purposes. Driton Hyseni, flight planning manager at Pristina airport, said this is not the first time the Serbian aviation has given incorrect information to air operators regarding possibility of flying to Pristina. “The airport is open, operating, and flights are proceeding without problem,” Hyseni said.
