Head of the EU Office in Kosovo Nataliya Apostolova, said strengthening of transparency and accountability is paramount to the issue of combating corruption.
In her speech during the conference on the occasion of marking the Week against Corruption, Apostolova stressed that the European Union has worked so far to help Kosovo in fighting this phenomenon, but according to her, prevention of corruption remains the responsibility of everyone.
“We are focused on the state capture issues. Strengthening transparency and accountability is paramount to the issue of combating corruption. We as a European Union have worked hard to process a number of laws in the fight against corruption. Fighting corruption involves every day engagement. Every day you should not fall prey to corruption, we are all responsible to preventing corruption, “she said.
