Visar Ymeri, MP from the Social-Democratic Party said Serbia is the main reason of lack of integration of Kosovo Serbs in the political, economical and societal life of Kosovo.
He added that the pressure exercised on Kosovo Assembly MP Slobodan Petrovic by the Serbian Intelligence Agency is concerning. “The story of MP Slobodan Petrovic about the pressure exercised on him by the Serbian Intelligence Agency is concerning. We should react against this. Not only because Serbia is continuing with threat, blackmail and violence towards citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, but also because of the political intention of this kind of pressure. And this is not the only case: many threats of the KSF members who were forced to leave their jobs, are of the same nature.
These cases prove that Serbia was and remains the main problem and cause of the lack of integration of Serbs in the political, economical and societal life of Kosovo. Because only in this manner Serbia can instrumentalise them for its own political intentions. It is clear at this point that Serbia’s interests in Kosovo are opposite, even exclusive with the interests of Kosovo Serbs. The latter, saw and started to see their civic interest on integration in the joint life.
The Republic of Kosovo is a state of all its citizens indiscriminately. And it must take responsibility for defense and wellbeing of all. Any pressure, each threat, each act of violence toward any citizens of the Republic of Kosovo is concerning, and should be unacceptable,” Ymeri stressed.
