Media are reporting that the whereabouts of Remzi Shala, former KLA fighter called by the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, are presently unknown after he stated that he will not respond positively to the call as he doesn’t recognise the court. Shala’s attorney, Natal Bullakaj, said in an interview with RTV Dukagjini that his client was given the invitation to appear before a specialist prosecutor by EULEX officials about a week ago and that he was wanted in the capacity of a suspect. He said Shala vehemently denies having committed any crime but has made it clear he does not plan on going to The Hague. Bullakaj said Shala’s phone is disconnected and he is no longer in Kosovo. His exact whereabouts are unknown.
