President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci decreed today eight laws as part of the justice reform package including the Criminal Code, the Law on Courts, the Law on Disciplinary Liability of Judges and Prosecutors, the Law on the Protection of Whistle-blowers, the Law on the Kosovo Judicial Council, the Law on the amendment and supplementation of the Law on Inheritance in Kosovo, and the Law on the amendment and supplementation of the Out Contentious Procedure. “The efficiency of the rule of law is crucial to the functioning of democracy. Education, healthcare and employment policies cannot be advanced without quick access to justice. For the youth, justice is the only opportunity for a better future”, said Thaci on the occasion.
