At the extraordinary press conference of the Crisis Committee of the four northern Kosovo municipalities, President of Serbian List Goran Rakic said Pristina’s decision to form Kosovo army showed that it did not want peace.

Rakic has called on Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija to remain peaceful, not to fall for provocations.

He stressed that by forming Kosovo army Pristina does not want peace and that KFOR is the only one with the mandate to carry weapons and ensure peace and security.

“I have a clear message for Pristina and the international community that we will not fall for the provocations, but we will fight for peace. We are not scared, and we will stay here. This decision in Pristina, which has violated the Resolution 1244, is unacceptable to us and we are absolutely rejecting it and for us it has no power,” Rakic underlined.

“Apart from KFOR, as confirmed in UN SC Resolution 1244, but also in the Brussels Agreement, no forces can come to the north without the consent of the Serbs. We are here on our own, with our people, and this decision shows that Pristina does not want the peace,” Rakic emphasised.
