Parliament in Pristina adopted a law that allows the Specialist Chambers to operate back in 2015, but signs that the new court’s first indictments are now on their way only came in December this year, when several former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, KLA were invited to give interviews to the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague.
The first invitation from the Specialist Prosecutor’s Officeafter three years of silence went to Rrustem Mustafa, a former KLA commander also known as Remi, who was asked to give an interview in The Hague on January 14. However it is not yet clear if he will be interviewed as a suspect or a witness.
