Didier Chabert, Ambassador of France to Kosovo, told the paper that it is important for Kosovo and Serbia to normalize their relations completely. Asked about the danger of mono-ethnicity in case of land swap, Chabert said no matter the content of the agreement that can be negotiated with Serbia, the Constitution of Kosovo guarantees protection of the rights of all minorities that participate in the diversity of Kosovo’s nation and their inclusion in the institutions of the country.
“Any negotiation presumes concessions, I cannot comment the content of the final agreement… France considers that it belongs to both parties to define the content of an agreement and take into consideration all the options that could lead to a comprehensive and final solution of this disagreement, in condition that it contributes to strengthening of peace and security in the region,” Chabert said.
