In his end-of-year press conference, Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj said his government will not retract decision on imposing 100-percent import tariff on Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said the measures will remain in force for so long as “Serbia continues to behave like a mini Russia in the Balkans.” “Kosovo is facing a threat, that of Serbia’s agression. The measure is not only economic but is also in defence of Kosovo’s national security,” he added. Haradinaj said that the focus of the Kosovo government in 2019 will be economy while with regards to dialogue with Serbia, he said the Kosovo negotiating team has his support. “The President now undergoes meetings with Vucic but thet cannot negotiate war damage, free market or the missing persons so these are negotiated amongst delegations.”
