Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, in an interview with arbresh.info, talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, the forming of the Kosovo Army, recognitions and the Specialist Chambers. Pacolli said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working on getting new recognitions of Kosovo’s independence, “but there are now geo-strategic divisions in the world and this does not allow the same pace of recognitions. I can guarantee that we have never stopped working”. Pacolli said the Kosovo Army is part of aspirations of an independent country. “We decided to form the army. The process will take several years. We saw that even the EU is not against the process,” he said. Pacolli said Kosovo’s negotiating team will support President Hashim Thaci in talks with Serbia. “The group appointed by the government will be very careful in its work and it will redefine the topics of dialogue,” he said. Commenting on the specialist chambers, Pacolli said it was unfair for Kosovo to go through this challenge. “I cannot interfere in the work of the judiciary, in this case international judiciary. However, it is not fair to go through this challenge, but we must overcome it. This court will once again prove that our fight was righteous and defensive and not aggressive. We fought to protect our country and people,” Pacolli said.
