Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Begjet Pacolli said after the meeting with the German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas in Berlin, that they discussed the issue of the negotiating team and the tax on Serbian goods. Pacolli told the media that the negotiating team will have the full support of the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, and that they will work for the reach of an agreement expected to happen within this year and which will bring peace between Kosovo and Serbia.

This enables further integration of Kosovo, Kosovo’s membership at the United Nations. Based on this agreement, Serbia should recognize Kosovo forever.”

Pacolli further said that the tax on Serbian goods is not a punitive decision but a clarification to Serbia that Kosovo is an independent state and does not negotiate its status with anyone.

Pacolli also spoke about visa liberalization for Kosovo people, stressing that all the required criteria are fulfilled and that Kosovo expects now from certain states to keep their promises.
