Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo Begjet Pacolli told RTK that Kosovo cannot reject the U.S. request to remove the 100 percent tax on Serbian goods. He said he will discuss today with the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to advise him to take the U.S. request into consideration. Speaking about Kosovo’s diplomacy, Pacolli said his work is impeded by lack of unity of Kosovo institutional leaders. He admitted that different positions of the President of Kosovo and the Prime Minister create fogginess in relation to the dialogue with Serbia.
According to him, Kosovo will make minor compromises in the demarcation process with Serbia. He expressed hope that opposition political parties will join the negotiating team.
Speaking about his recent visit to Berlin, Pacolli said German government pledged to announce the date of visa liberalization for Kosovo within this year.
