Kosovo’s new 11-strong negotiating team in EU-mediated talks with Serbia debuted in Brussels last week. The meeting itself, with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, produced little of substance, but one thing stood out from the photo handout.
Flanking Mogherini were three other women and one man. On the Kosovo side – only men.
Kosovo’s parliament endorsed the so-called Delegation for Dialogue on December 15, broadening the country’s representation in the talks to all parties in the ruling coalition and one opposition party in what the government says is a bid to better represent the country as talks build towards a deal.
