Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told TV Pink in Davos, on the occasion of the request of Albanian councillors to unite the northern and southern parts of Mitrovica and the support given by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, that this will not happen.
Vucic told Belgrade based TV Pink that he does not understand “neither what Thaci does, nor Ramush Haradinaj.”
“The only thing that I can say to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija about this is that this will not happen, and that Serbia will be with them,” Vucic told TV Pink.
Kosovo President Hashim Thaci supported the request of councillors of the municipality of Mitrovica to unify the two parts of the city into one municipality. Thaci wrote on Facebook that he met the Mayor of South Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri, and wrote that the citizens of Mitrovica “said their word”.”
”It’s now time for the institutions, the government, the assembly and the presidency to act,” Thaci wrote.
