Kosovo’s Minister of Justice Abelard Tahiri said Kosovo is among the first in region to have finalized draft Civil Code which is soon expected to be sent to Assembly for approval. Tahiri said the draft code is a result of a two-year work by experts and is aimed at regulating the field of civil rights. “Civil code was and is one of the top priorities and is the second-most important document after the Constitution,” Tahiri said today at an even organised by the EU-funded project for support to the drafting of Kosovo Civil Code. Meanwhile, Head of EU Office in Kosovo Nataliya Apostolova said a great deal of effort has been put in drafting the code and that she looks forward to the Assembly of Kosovo approving it.
