The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has decided not to repeat the runoff between Shpend Ahmeti and Arban Abrashi for Pristina mayor. As a result, former Vetevendosje Movement candidate Shpend Ahmeti will continue with his second mandate as mayor of Pristina. Ahmeti governed with Pristina for more than a year, without confirmation for his victory from all the relevant instances. During this period, the Constitutional Court was considering if there was any violation during the runoff which resulted with Ahmeti’s victory.
