Chairman of the Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told RTS morning news edition, that UN Secretary General report on Kosovo says the situation there is bad and Kosovo achieved no progress.

Drecun said, the UN SG report depicts a realistic situation in Kosovo. “These reports are rather balanced lately, and they are one of the biggest political obstacles on the international scene for Pristina to attempt to complete the ethnic cleansing of the Serbian people and disable any agreement with Belgrade,” Drecun said.

Drecun went on saying that Pristina moves in a direction as defined by the regime in Tirana, recalling the statement of Albanian PM Edi Rama that Kosovo and Albania would unite, and these reports represent a defense from such things.

“The report says the situation is bad, that Kosovo achieved no progress at all,” Drecun noted, and described Kosovo as “Europe’s black hole” because of organized crime, radical Islamism, unemployment and corruption.

Commenting on Trepca statue, Drecun said it is “a well-payed strategy” to put under Pristina’s control all Serbian state assets. He added this way Pristina prepares for continuation of talks, trying to set good negotiation position.

“Serbian people would defend Trepca,” Drecun further said, and companies that might enter some deal with Pristina regarding Trepca were sent a clear message these will not be legal acts, and that these companies would suffer losses.

Speaking about the resolution of the Kosovo issue, Drecun noted that the EU lately acts “as a toothless tiger”, however, he agrees with Brussels that the issue of property must be a topic of detailed talks and agreement.
