Serbian community in the USA within “Kosovo Project” submitted to the President Donald Trump, Congress and the State Department, a petition signed by more than 35.000 people, requesting to end the persecution of Serbian Christians in Kosovo, KIM Radio reports.
Signatories of the petition include leaders of the Serb community in USA, priests of the Orthodox Church, chair of the Serbian National Council, owners of small enterprises, lawyers, legal professionals and many others.
The petition speaks about unsustainable situation in Kosovo, adding that more than 250.000 Orthodox Christians mainly Serbs, but also members of other minority communities were ethnically cleansed and expelled from Kosovo. It also notes that Orthodox Christians in Kosovo are exposed to violence, while access to worship places is blocked and forbidden, Radio KIM reported.
