Minister Nenad Popovic responded to yesterday’s statement by Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, stating that the idea of a “delineation of Kosovo” cannot be an official policy because it is contrary to the Constitution.
“I’m glad that Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, in just 24 hours, changed his mind on the idea of ‘delineation’, and he no longer claims that such an idea is an official state policy, but says it is a proposal of some state officials,” Popovic says in a statement delivered to Tanjug.
The idea of a “delineation” cannot be an official state policy, because it is, Minister Popovic points out, in direct contradiction with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, whose preamble states that Kosovo is an integral part of the territory of Serbia.
“Minister Dacic attacked me yesterday because in my policy regarding Kosovo I firmly adhere to the Constitution of Serbia and its Preamble. I want to reiterate to Minister Dacic that I am proud of my position and that I will never give up from it,” Popovic said.
