Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, said today after meeting a high-ranking delegation from Washington that relations between Kosovo and the U.S. are at the lowest point ever. Hoxhaj took to Facebook to write: “An excellent meeting with senior officials of the National Security Council. We were assured of the U.S. commitment for dialogue with Serbia to conclude with mutual recognition and Kosovo’s membership to the UN. It is high time for us as heads of Kosovo institutions to reflect on the good-will request from the U.S. to suspend the tax and to make way to an agreement this year. During my 15-year experience in politics, we are unfortunately at the lowest point of Kosovo – U.S. relations and this should be a concern for politics and society in Kosovo. We must never question the U.S. support and our partnership with them”.
