Serbian National Employment Bureau Director in Mitrovica North, Verica Ceranic told Radio kontakt plus that more than half of unemployed persons, as per their registrations are women.
The Employment Office in addition to Mitrovica North, covers Zvecan, Zubin Potok, Leposavic, Istok, Gorazdevac and Orahovac.
According to Ceranic, in these areas there are 4.885 unemployed women or 54.83 percent of the total number of registered unemployed persons.
The highest percentage among the unemployed women have secondary school education.
“Women with secondary school education make up 55 percent, 29 percent have no qualifications, 10 percent have high education, while 6 percent have college degrees,” Ceranic told Radio kontakt plus.
