The meeting between the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and two principal advisers of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Matthias Lautenberg and Jan Hecker, has started. There is no expectation for a press statement after the meeting, however Klan Kosova has learned that they will be discussing several points.
Earlier today, Lautenberg and Hecker met with the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci.
An official source told Klan Kosova that German Chancellor’s advisers will show to Kosovo leaders their idea of finding a solution for the 100-percent tariff on the products from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
According to this source, they will initially want to know if Kosovo has a plan for the reach of the Agreement on Free Trade with Serbia.
After this, they will discuss about the issue of visas for Kosovo citizens, since Germany is even officially in favor of removal of visa regime for Kosovo people.
They are also expected to discuss the issue of the final agreement with Serbia, where Germany requests not to include the issue of eventual change of borderline.
