Kosovo Liberation Army ex-fighters Enver Shala and Bashkim Ndrecaj are the latest in a series of former guerrillas to be invited for interview by the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague, which is probing wartime and post-war crimes.
Enver Shala, a Germany-based former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army, said on Wednesday that he has been invited for interview by the Hague-based Specialist Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating crimes committed during and just after the Kosovo war, from 1998 to 2000.
Shala told Pristina-based Klan Kosova TV that he has been invited as a witness and will travel to The Hague on April 17.
Asked why the prosecutors want to interview him, he responded: “I have no idea.”
