The Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj appealed to the European Union and the United States of America to help reach the final agreement of mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia. He made these comments during promotion of works on Pristina – Mitrovica motorway. He said this road is an arteria which connects economy of the country with neighboring economies, including Serbia.
He said it is Kosovo’s interest to live in a Balkans where everyone is free and where everyone recognizes the other, their borders, their rights.
“In order to reach that day, we will do what is our responsibility, we will build and open bridges, because it is our duty. But we also appeal on the EU and the U.S. to help us on what is not under our capacity, to finally reach an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia for mutual recognition, in order for the entire infrastructure, be it motorways or railways, high transmission of energy which is blocked for more than a decade…so to remove all these obstacles in order for economic and other exchanges to happen freely,” Haradinaj said.
