Mustafa: Association/Community not ideal but good solution (Telegrafi)
Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that Kosovo’s constitutional order has been respected in the agreement to establish the Association/Community of Serb majority municipalities. He however added that while the Association/Community may not be an ideal solution it is a good one. “We should not be afraid of rights we give to others but of misuse of our rights,” wrote Mustafa on his Facebook account. Mustafa stressed that decisions about the establishment or change of the Association/Community will have to go through the Kosovo’s Constitutional Court. Mustafa denied allegations that the Association/Community will be controlling Kosovo assets in the north. “Those who say the Association owns our assets are lying.” He said it is true that through the Association, Serb majority municipalities will have rights in education, healthcare, local economic development, urban and infrastructure development. “This should not present a problem to anyone because we know how difficult it is when someone denies you the right to educate your children and get the healthcare you want,” said Mustafa.
