The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission intends an internal reconciliation between Albanian and Serb communities.

During his speech at the second meeting of this commission, Thaci said that this process is  separate from the one of the discussions with Serbia in Brussels, but it will help on reaching new agreements.

“This forum will in no manner be a replacement of the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. This is another process that will help on the reach of new agreements. This commission is not established to replace justice, but to help justice,” Thaci said.

He added that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission will be comprehensive and politically unbiased, and it will have both local and international support.
