Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said in a meeting with mayors of Kosovo municipalities that they need to support fight against organised crime and corruption as the final criteria for visa liberalisation. In first such meeting with Kosovo mayors, Haradinaj also stressed the importance of permanent dialogue between the two levels of government. “Opportunities in place need to be utilized not lost because of the lack of communication and cooperation between the central and the local level of governance. Today’s meeting is a necessary initiative to establish this partnership, for the benefit of the citizens,” Haradinaj said.
RTK highlights that the Minister of Administration and Local Government from the Serbian List, Ivan Todosijevic, has also taken part in the meeting despite his party warning it is getting ready to leave the government of Kosovo.
