EU Office in Kosovo allocates funds for civil society (Koha)

The European Union Office in Kosovo has allocated funds at the value of two million euros for civil society organizations. At the meeting that was organized by the Kosovo Foundation for Civil Society (KCSF) on Wednesday, it was announced that more than 100 civil society organizations and NGOs have applied for different projects that are in compliance with goals and policies of the European Union for Kosovo. The head of the EU Office in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar, said that the work of civil society is very important. "The European Union is convinced that the work of civil society is particularly important for countries that aspire to integrate into the European Union. No matter how different we are, you have many common challenges, such as the legal framework, the rule of law and the fight against corruption and organized crime, "said Zbogar. He said that all instruments have their main objective to support the development of a civil society that is actively participating in public debate, and which according to him, has the capacity to influence policy processes and decision-making, and which in this way promotes human rights and democratic reform.  These funds were allocated to 13 projects.
