Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanović called Serbian people and political representatives to come to united stand with regard to the case of Oliver Ivanović.

Stojanović said that Serbian politicians are trying not to comment decisions of the judicial bodies, however process against Oliver Ivanović represents a precedent. He went on to say that judiciary didn’t function very well in the past and that it is hard to explain what is happening now. “It is obvious that we, politicians, will have to come out with certain standpoint over that issue,” said Stojanović.

Stojanović announced an initiative for a meeting of all relevant Serb representatives with regard to the case of Oliver Ivanović where they would come up with a united stand.

“This certainly goes beyond the ordinary legal process and court proceeding, and due to all this developments that we see and accompanying irregularities there is obviously and certain background to it,” said Stojanović.
