Serbia lost a chance for reconciliation (Gazeta Blic)
Former EU Special Envoy for Kosovo, Wolfgang Petrisch said in an interview for RTK that at the end of the entire created situation on whether the Principal Deputy of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci should go to Belgrade or not, Serbia was the loser.
According to the former Austrian diplomat, Serbia once again lost the chance to prove constructiveness, especially at this particular phase when an important dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade is taking place. “The initiative to send Deputy Prime Minister Thaci to Belgrade was a very good one. It is very sad that Serbia lost this opportunity created by the Serbian NGO and help of the British Embassy in Belgrade,” stressed Petritsch.
He added however that no special attention should be paid to Belgrade’s rejection being that the dialogue will continue.
