More visa liberalization requirements for Kosovo (Koha)

The Kosovo-based think tank, Group for Legal and Political Studies, presented a study today into the visa liberalization process. The study found that there is a significant difference between the European Commission’s visa liberalization roadmap for Kosovo and those for other Western Balkans countries. According to the Group, Kosovo has had 50 more requirements than the regional countries.

Deputy Minister for European Integration Ramadan Ilazi, who was present at the publication of the study, said the government of Kosovo will submit in June the report on implementation of visa liberalization criteria the European Commission. He said he expects a fair assessment from the EC but added that not all Kosovo problems will be solved once the visa regime is lifted.
