BELGRADE - Head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric said Sunday that Serbia's negotiations with the European Union will not be conditioned by the actions of Pristina and stressed that the time has come for the community of Serb municipalities to be formed.

"Items of crucial importance for us will now be on the agenda - articles 4, 5 and 6 of the Brussels agreement, relating to the formation of the community of Serb municipalities with certain important powers, and that is what we will be working on in the coming period," Djuric said for the Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS).

Commenting on activities of the Kosovo Privatization Agency, Djuric said that this institution and its actions mostly affect the Serbs living in enclaves, as it is trying to claim ownership of the main buildings in the towns and residential areas inhabited by Serbs.

By liquidating companies that allegedly no longer operate and storming their offices, as was the case in Strpce, the Kosovo Privatization Agency has caused a deep concern among the internally displaced persons, Djuric warns.
"We are using all the instruments available to the state of Serbia to address this issue,” said Djuric.

Speaking of the formation of institutions in Pristina, Djuric voiced the opinion that the representatives of the Serb slate and the people will use all the political and legal means to raise and keep open the issue of mandate distribution.
"I think that in general, by participating in this political process, our community is gaining traction. The important thing now is that we remain calm and united, as this is the only way to make sure that the community of Serb municipalities will have sufficient political strength," said Djuric.
