Serbs united towards the power (Vecernje Novosti)
BELGRADE - Marko Djuric, director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), said on Tuesday that, in a meeting with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, an agreement has been reached that all MPs of the Serbian List in Kosovo will take a united political front, underlining that it is important that the Serbs take on a part of the responsibility for running the institutions and take part in the government.
The Serbs from Kosovo said to Novosti that the question of additional terms in the Assembly is not over yet. An epilogue is expected in Brussels process. The calculation is that with 5.3 per cent of the vote, the Serbian List could have 16 seats.
However, at a meeting in Belgrade, in addition to municipal leaders, came only nine best-placed candidates from the Serbian List which undoubtedly will enter the Parliament on the basis of 10 seats guaranteed for the Serbian community. Tenth place goes to Nenad Rasic from the PDS, who did not join the Serbian List. As Novosti heard, cooperation with him in the parliament is not excluded, as it is also possible that Serbian MPs will act in joint action with the representatives of other minority communities if they reach an agreement on common principles.
