UN Security Council session on Kosovo canceled (B92, Tanjug)

A UN Security Council session on Kosovo that was scheduled to take place on November 13 has been postponed

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was to present his regular quarterly report on the situation in Kosovo.

According to the UN website, the meeting will not be held on Thursday.

The session has been deleted from the provisional schedule of UNSC sessions for the current month, but a new date has not yet been published.

The UN secretary-general's latest report delivered on October 31 expresses concern over the political stalemate in Priština and urges Kosovo's leaders to intensify their efforts in finding a solution soon, and continue the dialogue with Belgrade as soon as possible.

The Priština-based Albanian language paper Tribuna is quoting the Indexonline website to report that Priština asked the Security Council to postpone the session due to the fact that new institutions have not yet been formed in Kosovo.

According to this, the requests was granted, while, according to the website, "the session will likely be held in December."
