Serbian List dissatisfied with a draft proposal of the new Kosovo budget (RTK2)
Kosovo parliament’s financial committee agreed to adopt the Kosovo budget for 2015 in an accelerated procedure, whereas the Serbian List announced that they will file numerous amendments due to their dissatisfaction with the draft budget proposal.
In order to adopt the budget for 2015 on time, until the end of December, and considering that the new government didn’t manage to prepare its own draft budget proposal, decision was made to accept the draft budget proposal from October, which was prepared by the former government, said Minister for Finance Abdulah Hoti.
MP from the ranks of the Serbian List, Bojan Mitic, said that his party will request more funds for ministries headed by Serbs, and 10 Serb-majority municipalities.“If no amendments are made, that is, if our proposals are not accepted and if the agreement we reached with our coalition partners is not respected, the Serbian List will vote against the budget,” Milic said.
Kosovo parliament’s session, where MPs will discuss the draft budget proposal will be held on 22 December, whereas voting is due to take place in the last week of 2014.
