Konuzin: EU plundering Kosovo from Serbia, Russia ready to help (Pravda)

Former Russian ambassador to Serbia Alexandar Konuzin wrote in a letter published by Pravda web portal that unlike Brussels and Washington, Moscow will never set any ultimatum to Serbia and will do utmost to help friendly Serbian nation.

Konuzin writes that West launched a political and security operation back in 2008 aimed at forcing Serbia to, sooner or later, recognize false state of Kosovo and that he tried to pass this information to Serbian leadership back then.

Konuzin writes that EU will try to ‘enslave’ Serbia with never ending range of promises, agreements, standards and commitments. “Back than I said that the West will try, when it comes to relation with Pristina, to use its secret medicine – technology of ‘constructive ambiguity’. It is about a situation when agreement allows both sides to interpret it in its favor. This would create an impression that officially no one expects from Belgrade to formally recognize independent Kosovo, until the moment when Serbia would have only one step left to make in negotiations with the EU. Than the ultimatum follows – recognize independent Kosovo,” writes Konuzin, and further ads that unfortunately his predictions have come true.

In the end Konuzin elaborates that Russia, on the basis of the centuries old tradition, friendship, loyalty and mutual support between two nations, will energetically pursue development of mutually beneficial agreements, without any preconditions. “It is always a pleasure to see Serbs in the circle of our closest friends,” concluded Konuzin.
