Two churches broken into in Kosovo (Tanjug)

Kosovo Minister for Communities and Return Dalibor Jevtic on Thursday condemned the breaking into two Serbian Orthodox churches, the Temple of the Birth of the Most Holy Mother of God in the Softovic village and St. Elijah's Church in Kačanik/Kaçanik, southeastern Kosovo.

The exact time when the break-ins took place is unknown, reads the statement from the ministry, which was notified of the incidents by Urosevac parish priest Zivojin Kojic, who noted that the churches were completely empty before the attacks and that theft could not have been a motive behind the attacks.

Jevtic yesterday visited both vandalized churches and expressed concern over the fact that churches continue to be targeted.
