Jevtic with Rao on closing collective centers (RTK2)
Minister for Communities and Return in the Kosovo government Dаlibor Jevtic met yesterday with the head of UNHCR in Kosovo Narasimha Rao, and discussed the Regulation on displaced persons, the EU IPA projects, profiling of IDPs and closing of collective centers, whereas UNHCR representatives also presented and concept paper on the number of those interested in return and funds needed for their return.
"I am pleased with the fact that 134 houses have been built this year for returnees through the project RRK4 and project for return of Roma from Montenegro and Macedonia, which is higher than last year but my aim and objective of the ministry, headed by me, is that in the next three years the return is massive because we want at this time to return as many people who want to return because otherwise this process can be delayed indefinitely, "said Minister Jevtic.
When it comes to the process of profiling IDPs minister said that the ministry is ready to allocate funds for this process, that this work must be done in a better way and that not to be late with the profiling. As for the closing of collective centers, Minister Jevtic pointed out that the purpose of their closing primarily is care about the people who live there and finding durable solutions for them.
