Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic told UN Assistant Secretary General Miroslav Jenca that the UNMIK mission has to be maintained as a guarantee of Kosovo’s status neutrality.

Dacic said the dynamics and format of UN Security Council sessions on UNMIK also have to remain in place, press release of Foreign Ministry has said.

Jenca is quoted as saying that Serbia plays a significant role in the region and contributes to UN peace operations.

The Minister and the UN official stressed the importance of preserving peace and stability and continuing reform processes, the press release added.
