Vucic: Position of Serbia different and better, I am proud (Tanjug, B92, RTS)
Following the talks at Munich Security Conference, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic assessed that position of Serbia is better and different, than it was before, adding he is proud of that, Tanjug news agency reports.
Vucic told RTS that the talks he had in Munich were difficult and good, pointing out that Belgrade-Pristina relations became one of the central issues not only for us and the region, but also beyond it.
Asked how Serbia can respond to Edi Rama’s statement that Kosovo is part of Albania, Vucic said “by serious and responsible politics.”
Speaking about the panel, with Hashim Thaci and Johannes Hahn, Vucic said he was presenting the facts, protected the interests of Serbia and Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, while it was not easy for Hashim Thaci to respond to some questions, in particular to the ones related to the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities and tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Vucic also said he had good talks with the German Bundestag representatives, and briefly met with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as with former US Vice President Joe Biden. Vucic also met with a US Congress delegation, headed by Senator Roger Wicker. Vucic termed the talks with US delegation as “difficult.” He had meetings with EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn and Federica Mogherini, as well as the Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov.
